Running Pace Calculator
Enter a distance and a time to get your pace in min/mile, min/km, mph and km/h, with the split at every mile. Or enter a pace and get your finish time.
Prepare your goal with a running coach
Training paces are only useful inside a plan. A running coach builds the weeks, the long runs and the taper for your race.

Example
A 10K in 50:00 is 8:03 per mile (5:00 per km, 7.46 mph). At that pace a half marathon takes 1:45:30.
Method and formula
Pace = time / distance. Conversions use 1 mile = 1.609344 km. Equivalent race times use the Riegel formula (T2 = T1 × (D2/D1)^1.06).
Limits
- Splits assume an even pace; terrain, weather and pacing errors change real splits.
FAQ
How do I convert min/km to min/mile?
Multiply by 1.609. 5:00 per km is 8:03 per mile.
What is a good running pace?
It depends on distance and experience. Recreational runners often sit between 9 and 12 min/mile for easy runs; race pace is faster.
